JULY 13-15

As you can imagine, this years camp will be like nothing we have ever done before! And like most things in our world, there will be some additional requirements for our camp this year:

  • Kids Camp 2020 will be from July 13-15, from 9-11:30am. We have reduced the number of days from 4 to 3.

  • We will not be taking Kindergarteners this year.

  • There will not be a family night at the end of the camp this year.

  • We will be holding the entire camp OUTDOORS this year, and will only use the building for bathroom breaks. We plan on having shade tents and water stations for your kids during the camp.

  • Every camper will be required to bring a mask, and those masks will need to be worn while the camper is moving from location to location around our outdoor arena (from tent to tent), if they need to use the restrooms, and while they are in close proximity with others (craft tent). However, masks will not be required (but are encouraged) while the campers are participating in games, worship, or small group times.

  • In order to practice social distancing guidelines, we must cap our camp at 50 total kids (this excludes leaders, of which we can have as many as needed to facilitate the camp). The 50 kids will be split into two groups of 25, and those groups will NOT INTERACT with each other throughout the day. Think of them as two separate camps meeting at the same time in the same space.

  • We are not able to serve foodstuffs at camp this year, so we will be asking families to bring a snack for their kids AND a water bottle each day.

  • We will be asking all families who attend our camp to sign a medical waiver, releasing the church from any liabilities should a child in our care become exposed to COVID-19 during the camp. We will be taking all necessary precautions, including cleaning all surfaces in real-time, wearing gloves and masks when appropriate, and following all county and state guidelines. However, an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. By having your child attend our camp, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

We are giving you the heads up about Kids Camp and the new requirements so that you can make some decisions as to whether or not you would still like your child to participate. There will be no exceptions to the policies stated above. If your child cannot adhere to the policies for any reason, they will not be eligible to participate this year.
We are taking kids on a first come, first serve basis. When you register, you will be asked to mark either Camp group A or Camp Group B. If both camp groups fill up, please contact Amy Harder, elementary Coordinator, with a request to be put on the waitlist. You can reach her HERE.
